Japan – Hiroshima to Miyajima December 14, 2002

We took a cable car up to the top of the one mountain on the island, and the city of Hiroshima is below you .

T Walking down the mountain, we passed numerous shrines, but this was the most different – the Daisho-in Temple, head of a sect of Bhuddism.

And there were tons of deer on the island .

The walk down the mountain was longer than we anticipated, but we had a great walk, and Marie was attacked by one of the monkeys on top! It wanted her bag – she didn’t want to give it up. Finally her son and husband came to her rescue and scared the brazen creature away.
